In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

In the 1990s, clandestine movements emerged, reviving the dangerous doctrines of the early Khārijites, declaring Muslim rulers as disbelievers and inciting rebellion under the guise of Ḥukm, Taḥkīm, and Ḥākimiyyah. These groups, led by figures like Moḥammad Quṭb and Moḥammad Surūr, exploited events like the Gulf War to spread sedition, falsely claiming Saudi Arabia was “occupied” and undermining trust in major scholars like Shaykh Bin Bāz (رحمه الله).

Today, these same slanders, labeling Salafis as Jāmiyyah, Madākhilah, Khawārij, and Murjiʾah, are being recycled by individuals like Moḥammad Abushamma. His rhetoric mirrors the old tactics of the Quṭbists and Surūrists, aiming to distort Salafī principles and mislead a new generation unaware of this history.

This article exposes these recycled lies, defends the true Salafī methodology, and calls out those who, knowingly or ignorantly, perpetuate division under the banner of false “unity.”

Excerpt: … In a video published on Youtube on 28 March 2019, this individual repeated these slanders and labels of Jāmiyyah and Madkhaliyyah against Salafis and he accused them of being Khārijites and Murjiʾites in certain respects. In the same video he told numerous lies, and there are a lot more lies, statements of deviation, and innovation in his other videos too. It is important that we address some of his speech as mercy to him and to his followers and with the hope that the burden of sin in misinforming and deceiving 72,000 people who have watched his video may be lifted off his back, and that he may recant, repent and apologise for his lies and slanders.
