In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy
Allāh (ﷻ) declares in His Noble Book:
A group of people, to whom We gave the Scripture, they recite it as it ought to be recited.

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) said:
‘Reciting it as it ought to be recited’ does not mean, as some people assume, merely observing the points of articulation (makhārij al-ḥurūf), the nasalisation (ghunnah), elongation (madd), assimilation (idghām), and Tajwīd rules.
That is not what ‘reciting it as it ought to be recited’ (ḥaqqa tilāwatihi) means. All these are merely aspects of the manner of recitation. ‘Reciting it as it ought to be recited’ means understanding its meanings and acting according to it.
